Murray Cypress

The next generation of privacy evergreens.

The Murray Cypress (Cupressocyparis leylandii Murray) is quickly becoming one of the most popular fast-growing privacy trees in America. With its ability to grow 34 feet per year, this evergreen creates a lush, towering screen in record time. Whether youre looking to block out a neighbors view, create a windbreak, or design a year-round green wall, Murray Cypress delivers both speed and durability.

A stronger alternative to Leyland Cypress.

Often compared to the Leyland Cypress, Murray Cypress offers improved disease resistance, better cold hardiness, and stronger branches that resist breakage under heavy snow and wind. Its dense, upright growth habit makes it ideal for long hedgerows, privacy borders, or driveway plantings. Homeowners and landscapers alike prefer Murray Cypress for its reliability, resilience, and superior performance in challenging conditions.

Low-maintenance and resilient.

Murray Cypress thrives in a variety of soils and requires minimal care once established. Hardy in USDA Zones 610, it is drought-tolerant, pest-resistant, and deer-resistant, making it an excellent choice for both suburban backyards and rural homesteads. Its blue-green, evergreen foliage stays vibrant year-round, providing your property with lasting beauty and value with minimal effort.

An investment in privacy and landscape value.

If you need a fast, dependable, and long-lived privacy hedge, Murray Cypress is one of the best choices available. By combining rapid growth with disease resistance and low-maintenance care, you can enjoy a healthy living wall that enhances your landscapes aesthetics and increases your propertys value for decades to come.
