DESCRIPTION

The Calathea Medallion, scientifically known as Calathea veitchiana Medallion, is a vibrant tropical plant from the Marantaceae family, originating in the lush rainforests of South America, particularly Brazil and Colombia. This plant is adored for its large, round leaves adorned with intricate patterns of green, white, and deep purple, making it a stunning addition to any indoor garden. The Calathea Medallion thrives in bright, indirect light, but it must be protected from direct sunlight, which can scorch its beautiful leaves. In Singapores warm and humid climate, this plant requires regular wateringtypically 2-3 times a weekto keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. While it demands moderate care, the effort is well worth it for its air-purifying qualities and striking appearance. Additionally, the Calathea Medallion is pet-friendly, making it a safe choice for homes with animals. This plant enjoys high humidity and soft, filtered light but dislikes cold drafts and dry conditions, which can cause its leaves to curl or brown.
