Aconitum cammarum Bicolor’ – 2026

Aconitum cammarum Bicolor is a distinctive perennial known for its elegant two-toned flowers, featuring deep violet-blue and white petals that create a striking contrast in summer borders. The tall, upright spikes of hooded blooms bring height and drama to garden plantings, standing proudly above deeply divided, dark green foliage. This variety is especially effective in cottage gardens, mixed borders, or naturalistic plantings, where its unique colouring adds refinement and interest.

Preferring cooler conditions, Aconitum cammarum Bicolor thrives in moist, well-drained soil and does best in partial shade, although it can tolerate full sun in cooler areas. Once established, it is hardy and requires little maintenance, making it a reliable perennial choice. The flowers are attractive to pollinators, particularly bumblebees, enhancing the biodiversity of garden spaces. Care should be taken, however, as all parts of the plant are toxic if ingested.
