CARE:
Light
Bright, Indirect Light: African violets thrive in bright, indirect light. Place them near a north or east-facing window, or provide filtered light through a sheer curtain.
Avoid Direct Sunlight: Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, causing them to yellow or burn.

Watering
Consistent Moisture: Keep the soil evenly moist but not soggy. Use room-temperature water to avoid shocking the plant.

Bottom Watering: Water from the bottom by placing the pot in a saucer of water for about 30 minutes. This helps prevent water from getting on the leaves, which can cause spotting and rot.
Avoid Overwatering: Let the soil dry slightly between waterings to prevent root rot.

Soil
Well-Draining Mix: Use a well-draining, lightweight potting mix specifically designed for African violets. You can also make your own mix with equal parts peat moss, vermiculite, and perlite.
Aeration: Ensure good soil aeration to promote healthy root growth.

Temperature
Optimal Range: Maintain temperatures between 65-75F (18-24C). African violets prefer stable, warm conditions.
Avoid Drafts: Protect the plant from cold drafts, sudden temperature changes, and air conditioning vents.

By following these care tips, you can ensure that your African violet remains healthy and vibrant, producing beautiful blooms throughout the year.
