CRYSTAL TIDE PRICKLY PEAR 5 GAL

I know many of you love the idea of a desert garden but want something with a soft touch. Crystal Tide Prickly Pear is the perfect solution. This low-growing, mat-forming cactus has a unique, almost ethereal beauty. Its flat, green pads are covered in golden and white spines that give it a glowing appearance, especially in the afternoon sun. In the spring, it produces large, near-white flowers with stunning pink stamens, which is an unusual and lovely color for a prickly pear. Reaching about 18 inches tall and spreading up to 3 feet wide, its an excellent groundcover or rock garden plant. Plant it in full sun and give it plenty of well-draining, gritty soil. Once established, it is extremely drought-tolerant and handles cold temperatures very well. Its dense, spiny pads also serve as a great natural deterrent, so deer and rabbits will leave this beautiful plant alone.
