Echeveria purpusorum

Echeveria purpusorum isnt the easiest echeveria to spot, given its diminutive size, but once you do, youll pleasantly discover theres a lot to like about this slow-growing little one. The tight rosette features intricately detailed leaves that are nominally green, but the precise flavor of green, whether whitish or deeper, depends on factors such as sunlight and temperature. Irregular reddish-brown spots cover the leaves, most prominently so on the outside and on the upper half of the inside. The pattern is almost reptilian-like, with the outside spots noticeably redder. Red-orange flowers sprout from a stem thats up to 8 inches tall. Excellent as a windowsill plant or for the nooks and crannies of a rock garden where it doesnt get too cold in the winter months. And believe it or not, Echeveria purpusorum doesnt really have a common name. Any ideas?
