Sedum Abbeydore’ – 2026

Sedum Abbeydore, also known as Hylotelephium Abbeydore, is a compact, clump-forming perennial admired for its fleshy, blue-green leaves and vibrant late-season flowers. From late summer to autumn, it produces broad, flat clusters of deep pink blooms that gradually darken to red as they age, creating a rich, textured display. The sturdy stems and dense foliage form a neat mound, making it an excellent choice for borders, gravel gardens, and containers. The long-lasting flower heads provide both colour and structure well into winter, even after drying.

Thriving in full sun and well-drained soil, this plant performs particularly well in poor or sandy conditions and is highly drought-tolerant once established. It attracts bees and butterflies with its nectar-rich blooms, supporting late-season pollinators. Low-maintenance and dependable, Sedum Abbeydore requires little care beyond trimming back spent flower heads in late winter to promote fresh spring growth. It offers year-round appeal through its sculptural foliage, vivid blooms, and ecological value.
